QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Common Inquiries
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
Our everyday shampoo is Vetkleen’s shampoo and their conditioner. Our alternative shampoos that specialise in specific coat types/skin is Petway and Hound & Soul"s large range of Shampoos and conditioners.
We are happy to use your own shampoo if desired and Malaseb if a vet has recommended this.

We also use dog colognes from Hound and Soul, Vetkleen and Petway, in a range of different smells. For detangling coats we predominantly use Petway brand.

You can find the majority of the products we use for sale in our retail area when you come to your pups next appointment.
ARE YOU A ONE ON ONE SALON?
No, we have multiple dogs in the salon at a time, but dogs do not interact with one another and are kept seperate at all times.

This is because there are multiple groomers working in the same area. Doing it this way also minimises the effect no shows and last minute cancelations have on our business.
WHAT DOES A PUPPY GROOM INCLUDE?
Puppy grooms are for dogs under 6 months old and are designed to get your pup used to all the new sounds and sensations that grooming involves. With puppies we trim their feet, nails, faces (if breed requires it) and hygiene area. They are brushed, bathed and introduced slowly to the dryer.
For breeds that need clipping we let them hear and feel the clippers but only clip hygiene areas, as a full clip at first can be overwhelming for a first time and our goal is to make your new puppy enjoy grooming.
DO YOU EXPRESS DOGS ANAL GLANDS?
Yes, Helen is a qualified vet nurse and will express anal glands for an extra $25.
CAN I STAY WITH MY DOG WHILE GROOMING?
No, our insurance does not cover non employees in the salon while grooming.

We recommend a store salon with a viewing area for those wanting to stay with their dogs, as most salons don't allow owners in their grooming area for health and safety reasons.
WHAT’S THE BEST METHOD TO CONTACT YOU?
Messenger is the best means of contacting us especially out of hours. Texts will be answered on days we are open. Calls will be answered during business hours, but as it gets quite loud and for the safety of dogs we can’t always get to the phone, if you leave a message though we’ll get back to you at the end of the day.
